1. Agreement
By accessing or using our courses and related materials, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.
3. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal educational use of the Content. This license does not grant you any ownership rights.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, sublicense, distribute, publicly display, or otherwise provide the Content to third parties without written permission.
- Copy, scrape, crawl, or automatically download Content using bots, scripts, or automated methods.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, DRM, rate limits, or security measures.
- Use the Service to post, transmit, or distribute harmful, unlawful, or infringing material.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via denial-of-service or similar attacks.
5. Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activities under your Account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate Accounts involved in suspicious activity to protect users and the Service.
6. Purchases, Payments & Taxes
When you purchase access to paid Content, you agree to provide accurate billing details and authorize us (or our payment processors) to charge the applicable fees. Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on your location; you are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or similar governmental assessments unless stated otherwise.
7. Refunds
Payments are processed securely. Refund eligibility and timelines are described in our refund policy on the FAQ page. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us promptly with relevant details (order identifier, email used for purchase, date of charge).
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and Content are protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by the Academy and its licensors. Trademarks, logos, and brand elements may not be used without written permission.
9. User Submissions (If Applicable)
If the Service allows you to upload submissions (such as assignments, comments, or artwork), you retain ownership of your submissions. You grant the Academy a limited license to store, display, and process submissions solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, showing your comment under a lesson). You represent you have all rights necessary to provide your submissions and that they do not infringe third-party rights.
10. Availability, Updates & Modifications
We may change, update, discontinue, or restrict parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, providing additional notice within the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we must do so to comply with legal obligations. Upon termination, your license to the Content ends immediately. Certain provisions (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) will survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific learning outcomes.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Academy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Academy from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing Principles
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Academy regarding the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on the subject. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
